April may officially be Stress Awareness Month but feeling stressed is something that is a regular occurrence for many of us. If you are feeling stressed or anxious, take heart, there are things you can do to live a calmer life.
My darling, if only you could see the beauty that already exists in your day. These were the gentle words that were channelled through to me this morning as as I searched for relief having found the start of my day feeling pressured and stressed.
“Women are like teabags: you never know how strong they are until you put them in hot water” said first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Luckily we are passed the times when women had to be more determined than ever to be heard. We are lucky enough now to be allowed to participate (not only in our own life) but the lives of others and to make a difference in this world.
Have you ever found yourself in a position where you feel physically and emotionally drained whilst looking after people that might be struggling physically and emotionally? If you found yourself in this kind of situation you may feel a natural instinct to want to avoid these kind of circumstances. But if you are a naturally empathic person you will find avoidance isn’t possible unless you completely isolate yourself. Which isn’t an option either, so what do you do?
Have you ever compromised doing what is right for you because you fear what will happen if you don’t?
Yup, I relate too. So many times in life I found myself saying yes and I really wanted to say no. I would often make decisions purely based on fear. Fearing that if I did what I truly wanted to do (which would often involve saying no 🙈) people would think less of me, judge and criticise me.
I spent years living with a negative mind, feeling anxious and unsafe. Fearing the worst, living hand to mouth, and life felt like hard work. I never believed it was possible to turn this around either. Well not until I was introduced to the most extraordinary thing – the universe. Yup, there is nothing more powerful than the universe having your back. When you learn how to work with this powerful source, your life will change for the better. 👊🏼
Have you ever noticed when you are in the company of certain people within minutes you feel like the life force is being drained from you? You might find that even thinking of the person can leave you feeling the same way? This leaves you to wanting to avoid that person which can get awkward.
Perhaps you have noticed that certain people enter into your life in order to trigger healing or spiritual growth within you? I certainly have. Perhaps you have also noticed that you tend to attract the same characteristics in people time and time again?
I will never forget the look on the nurse’s face when she walked in to the hospital room and was expecting to see an elderly woman in her 80s. Instead she saw me, a young woman aged 43. She said “But you are too young for a total hip replacement!” and I could tell she was gutted for me. I had been suffering for sometime with my hip pain.
What do you do when you feel like you have no voice…
My dear friends, many of us have been faced with countless times in our life where we have felt completely voiceless in a situation. I’m sure you would agree that people can be really challenging at times and without the right tools to help us navigate through some of the stormy waters of relationships we can end up feeling helpless, defenceless and weak.
An important factor to remember at all times is that stress in normal. Doesn’t mean it feels good though does it! Everybody at some point experiences feelings of stress. Stress is often triggered by major life changes, such as death of a loved one, relationship breakups, financial pressures, expectations from friends, family and/or work, the pressure we put on ourselves, loss of any kind and many more.
Are you a money magnet or do you spend most of your life in lack and in fear? Many of our current day money issues started when we were growing up. The question is, can our money issues be healed? And the answer a big fat “Heck YES!!”
