What is the Law of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction works on the basic principle that ‘like attracts like’ and ‘what you think about will come about’.

You may have heard many other phrases that describe the same concept, such as ‘thoughts become things’, ‘ask, believe, receive’ and ‘what man can perceive man can achieve’.

In essence, the Law of Attraction states that we have the ability to attract into our life what we are putting our focus on.

How can it work for me?

You may well have been looking for ways to enhance specific or all areas of your life but the conventional systems haven't brought you the results you want.

You may have been watching other people appear to be successful people, have happy relationships, prosperity and a career they love, but don't know how to get that for yourself.

The key to success with the Law of Attraction is learning to use it in a way that is becoming a deliberate creator.

In theory, this is surprisingly simple to do. In practice, we need to uncover our own unique success formula and understand that, quite often, we get in our own way by manifesting from a place of fear and pressure rather than a place of fun and pleasure.

It’s important to recognise that you are a powerful, creative being. You have extraordinary abilities to create the life your heart desires or that you dream of. You can become the artist of your dreams and own destiny if you believe in your own power.

Understand the power you have within you

From the start of your manifesting journey, you need to come feeling powerful. It’s important to recognise that you are a powerful, creative being.

You have extraordinary abilities to create the life your heart desires or that you dream of. You can become the artist of your dreams and own destiny if you believe in your own power.

Be willing to change

Nobody is perfect and you will need to make some changes to get to where you want to be. If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got.

Be consciously willing and open to learning something new and to do things differently so that you can ultimately achieve different results.

Perhaps start by drawing a picture of your ‘higher self’ or the person you want to become and write down all of the traits and habits they have.

Then, start living your day to day life as this person. Would they sleep in for an extra hour or get up and start their day with a workout, healthy breakfast and writing in their journal?

It’s up to you to decide who you want to be and you can change for the better if that’s what you want.

Learn to focus on what you want

If you could wave a magic wand - what would you ask for? And, if you had no fear, blocks or worries - what would your next step be? Focus on your dreams, wishes and goals and make them a reality.

It's easy to go too big here but it’s best to keep it simple and achievable.

For example, your ultimate goal may be to quit your job and save elephants in Africa, but ask yourself what smaller steps you could take, keeping the ultimate goal in the mind’s eye. This will help you to earn trust and faith in your own abilities.

If you are unsure about what it is that you want, write down five things that you definitely don’t want, then look at the direct opposite.

It might sound counterintuitive but this practice will help you establish your dreams and goals, as what you want is highly likely to be the opposite of what you don’t want!

For example, fed up with being broke? Then you want enough money to lead a happy, healthy life and do the things you desire.

Reprogramme yourself

The reprogramming process is all about you creating the ultimate vision in your mind, once you’ve established what it is that you want. You can create a physical vision board or use an online app such as Higher Self Vision Board using many pictures to depict what you want to experience.

Look at the board regularly and imagine diving into each picture. Activate your five senses, ask yourself what you are feeling, seeing, hearing, tasting and smelling. Have fun and really experience what life would be like, living each one of these pictures.

Our subconscious mind doesn’t know what's real and what isn’t so by undertaking this powerful visualisation technique, soaking up the images of scenarios you desire, you activate the Law of Attraction.

From here, you will start to notice opportunities to help you bring your vision board to life and you’ll be on the right track.
