Pleasure not pressure
My darling, if only you could see the beauty that already exists in your day.
These were the gentle words that were channelled through to me this morning as as I searched for relief having found the start of my day feeling pressured and stressed.
There is nothing worse than feeling pressured by the clock to get out of the door at a certain time and remember everything that needs to be done. It was only after I had reached my destination and that I had a chance to sit and take a breath that I realised my day had started from a place of pressure rather than pleasure.
I often like to connect to the gentle loving voice that resides within me. The wise cheerleader that is always present. For so many years I listened to the voice of dictatorship, the voice that always tells me that I’m not good enough and the voice that puts me under so much pressure it is no wonder I had never experience any pleasure.
Anyway, this voice said “My darling, if only you could see the beauty that already exists in your day.”
This stopped me dead in my tracks and it made me appreciate all the kind loving people that I have in my life, the beautiful warm bed that I wake up in every day and all the lovely food that I get to eat every day. Yes, sometimes I lose focus but when I bring my focus back I realise just how much I have to be grateful for.
With kindness,
